Peacock Tray Mould
Intricate Peacock Tray Mould – A Statement Piece in Resin Art
This Peacock Tray Mould is one of our original designs from the TMS Premium Collection, and it’s a piece we’re genuinely proud of. Inspired by the peacock, India’s national bird, the mould is designed to capture its grace, detail, and presence in a way that feels rich without being overwhelming.
The centre of the mould is made up of 105 small cavities that let you work with colour slowly and intentionally. You can fill each section with pigments, metallics, or subtle blends to build the peacock one layer at a time. The side cavities help create a clean frame around the design, bringing the entire piece together. Once the detailed layer has fully cured, a final contrasting pour completes the tray and gives it depth and balance.
When you demould, the result is a tray that naturally draws attention. It works beautifully as a festive piece, a statement décor item, or a thoughtful handmade gift. More than anything, this mould is meant for artists who enjoy the process as much as the final outcome.

For best results with this mould, we recommend casting it in two stages using different resin systems.
For the first detailed layer, we suggest using Mycast 3:1 Casting Resin. It offers a generous working time of up to 3 hours, which is ideal for this mould, as filling the intricate cavities typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. The longer open time allows you to work slowly and precisely, ensuring each cavity is filled cleanly without rushing.
Once the detailed layer has fully cured, the base layer can be poured using Mycast 2:1 Casting Resin. This resin works best for the backing layer, helping you achieve a strong, balanced finish while completing the tray efficiently.
Using this combination allows you to enjoy the detailing process while maintaining structure, clarity, and durability in the final piece.
