What is Mycast Epoxy Resin?
Mycast is a premium-quality epoxy resin designed by The Mould Story for resin artists. It’s known for its superior clarity, long pot life, minimal bubble release, and non-yellowing formula.
How many types of Mycast Resin are available?
There are three variants:

- 3:1 Deep Casting Resin – Perfect for trays, geodes, floral preservation, and deep pours.
- 2:1 Coating Resin – Best for surface finishing and art.
What is the difference between 2:1 casting and 3:1 casting resin?
2:1 Casting Resin has a maximum pour thickness of 15mm, and is faster curing with a pot life of 1 hour 15 minutes. It is meant for smaller moulds. It can also be used a topcoating resin if left in the cup to thicken and poured at the right time. 3:1 Casting Resin has a maximum pour thickness of up to 30mm and is slower curing with a pot life of up to 3 hours - perfect for those projects where you need extra time. Both our resins are made to the highest purity and safety standards and have excellent gloss, transparency, bubble release, are super easy to mix, and have outstanding yellowing resistance.
Does Mycast resin yellow over time?
Mycast has the best in class UV resistance amongst art resins commonly available in the market. We have formulated it with the biggest amount and best quality UV stabilizers to resist yellowing. Proper storage and care will further maintain its clarity. All resins will eventually yellow, but Mycast will have your creations looking wonderful for the longest time to come.
